In 2018 I joined Amazon at its Seattle headquarters as part of a team supporting the launch of the company’s dedicated logistics operations. One current project, The A Word: Inside the World’s Largest Tech Firm, is a serialized narrative combining non-fiction and fictional elements, based on research, as well as my experience as an Amazon salaried employee. The A Word will seek to bring to life the cosmopolitan atmosphere, peculiar practices and obsessional ideas that created a socio-economic phenomenon unlike anything seen in the history of commerce. My over-arching goal is to have some irreverent fun and delight readers writing on a topic often broached with strict seriousness.

The A Word will be distinguished by information and insights accessible only to employees, as well as an analytical approach which attempts to get below the surface of the company’s meticulously manicured, on-point narrative and shed new light on how and why this behemoth commercial entity is re-shaping the economy, society and our lives.
